First Seaside Visit (Saturday October 5, 2013)

Our first seaside visit took place in Lincoln City, OR. It was during the kite festival which was pretty cool to see and the kids enjoyed watching all the kites flying around them. All the kids enjoyed themselves and it was such an amazing day, bright, sunny with hardly any wind.

Pumpkin Picking (Bust!)

Today (Friday October 4th) was one of the first days in 5 where it wasn't raining outside and the sun was actually shining. After some thought we decided the best way to enjoy this beautiful day was to take the kids pumpkin picking and perhaps get a few cute photos in as well. We found this cute place to pick your own pumpkins about 10 minutes from our home, we were all super excited and couldn't wait for the day to begin. After rounding the kiddos up we headed over to the pumpkin patch, the boys practically drooling in their excitement to choose their own pumpkins, Jay ready with his running shoes on to keep them in line and me with my camera ready to capture the memories ... imagine the sheer disappointment when we were told the patch is only open to the public on the weekends and only available for large groups and schools during the weekday (MAJOR BUST!). Even though it wasn't as nearly as exciting of an alternative we decided to take the boys to the park so they could at least get some energy out. Shortly before arriving at the park John and Evie fell asleep for their naps which left only left Michael to enjoy the park. From the pictures, as you can see, he wasn't overly disappointed.
